Members

The GILSC started as an open initiative without the stings of a conventional membership. For this reason, everyone with a clear link to the Israel and/or German life sciences industry and the willingness of improving and deepening the German-Israeli life sciences relations can join the GILSC.

The GILSC has currently approximately 150 members in both countries all together, an amazing figure as the committee was set-up only in 2009. And the number of members is steadily increasing!

Membership is free and there are no further financial or other obligations for the members.

However, the GILSC is based on the commitment of its members. It is pivotal for the committee to receive initiatives, projects and further ideas from its members.

On platforms such as the GILSC’s annual conference, board meetings or seminars, members determine the further development of the GILSC and are invited to bring-in projects and ideas. During the year, members can contact the chairman or one of the two vice chairmen of the GILSC and submit inquiries, ideas and projects for the further development of the committee.

The GILSC doesn’t demand any fees and doesn’t have a proper budget, too. Its board and supporting workforce are working pro bono. All meetings have been gratefully supported by private sponsors and in particular the Israeli-German Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the German-Israeli Economic Association. The two latter organizations have initiated the GILSC and support it logistically.
